St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Our mission

The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay.

What is St. Jude?

St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Our researchers and doctors work together to turn laboratory breakthroughs into lifesaving treatments for children from across the United States and around the world.

And with your support, St. Jude can provide cutting-edge treatments at no cost to families — so they can focus on helping their child live.

What does St. Jude do?

St. Jude is dedicated to treating kids with cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

In addition to patient treatment, St. Jude is focused on cutting-edge research to help us better understand pediatric cancer and how to treat it.

Each day, we are working toward a cure, so every child who comes to us can be given their best chance to grow up.

“No child should die in the dawn of life.”

Danny Thomas, founder
